Positano is the gem of the Divine Coast and has a picturesque profile. It is a semicircle of houses perched on a bay and characterised by arched porticoes with pastel-coloured walls, narrow streets with boutiques selling the famous Stile Postano and the Spiaggia Grande with renowned restaurants. Li Galli or the Sirens’ Archipelago, located opposite Positano, consists of three small rocky islets (Gallo lungo, Rotonda and Castelluccio) and is considered the home of the Sirens, mythological figures that lured sailors with their songs. Pleasant scenery can be discovered along pleasant walks such as and Monteportuso, a hole in the rock where the Madonna appeared to the inhabitants, or Nocelle, a flight of 1700 steps leading to the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods). Postano is easily reached by bus. The journey takes about 35 minutes and the service is regular. The stop is right in front of the hotel entrance.
